5th place in 76 kg, Athens 2004

DATE OF BIRTH: 4/1/1982
PLACE OF BIRTH: Georgia
OCCUPATION: Second lieutenant
CLUB: Evmastas Piraeus
OLYMPIC PARTICIPATIONS: 2004 (5th)
OTHER DISTINCTIONS: She has won two bronze medals in world championship (2002), one gold, one silver and two bronze in European championships (2003, 2004), three bronze in young women European championship (2000), one silver and two bronze in young women world championship (2001) and she was second at the 2001 Mediterranean Games.

At 22 years, she took part in Olympic Games, those in Athens, where she fought hard for a medal, even though she did not have such experience.
She is a very obstinate athlete with strong will concerning success in weightlifting, who sets an example for imitation for everybody during trainings. Her amazing talent had effect also at the world championships where she participated having as a weapon her perfect movement of jerk.
She rarely speaks during trainings, while Christos Iakovou has never written her name to his attendance register as absent. Being an athlete with real talent, she aimed high since she was really young but after the Athens’ Olympic Games she decided, at least for now, to stop.
